What is a Blog?

A Blog is a site designed to help you share information. Blogs can be used as news sites, journals, diaries, team sites, and more. It is your place on the World Wide Web.

Blogs are typically displayed in reverse chronological order (newest entries first), and consist of frequent short postings. With this Blog, it is also possible for your site visitors to comment on your postings.

In business, Blogs can be used as a team communication tool. Keep team members in touch by providing a central place for links, relevant news, and even gossip.

Offer space within norcalsharepoint.com for project management for a fee?
NorCal Sharepoint exists to help organizations learn to use Sharepoint Services effectively, without major mistakes in implementation, if possible.

Sharepoint Services seems to offer an excellent foundation for planning and executing a project.  Why would it not be a good idea to offer organizations the opportunity to rent project management space within norcalsharepoint.com?

At the project manager's initiation (upon registering), a sub-site using a template specifically designed for project management would be created.  The project manager could then assign different permissions to various team members, as desired.  The site would then be ready to use.

The first month's use of the site would be free.  After that, perhaps the fee would be $50/month or so for a maximum of say 10 users per site.

After the project is complete, important documents generated by the project team could be copied to the organizations' archives as necessary, and the site deleted.  By this time, the team members would have a good initial grasp of the capabilities of Sharepoint Services, and be in position to imagine how SS could be incorporated into their organization.
